Goals – February 27, 2010

I went on a photo club trip on Saturday to visit several piers around town. I walked out to the end of each pier. That’s why I was able to get my walking in on Saturday. I’ve got to do more of those.

I started off the week with really got intentions on the Push Up Test and Training but fail short. Ah well.

Changing the way I report on goals

I’ve decided to change the way I report on my goals and objectives. From now on, I’ll do one post per week (titled Goals – ${DATE}) where I post that I did what I was supposed to or didn’t without going into a lot of unnecessary details. This should make it much easier to keep up.

Goals – February 6, 2010

Calorie Counting – NONE
Exercise – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
Push Up Test – Tuesday
Push Up Training – Wednesday
Walking – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

I was able to achieve 3 out of 5 of my objectives for the week. The ones that I didn’t achieve are the usual suspects. I’ve just been too lazy to do my Calorie Counting and Push Up Training. It’s hard to break habit of being lazy.

January 2010 Results

I started the month at 179.6 and ended the month at 179.4. Not very encouraging. My BMI is still greater than 25. At the moment, I’m not sure how I’m going to make my goal of getting down to a BMI of 24.

Exercise 3 times a week. (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)
I did this every week but last week. I got a little too busy last week. I know, bad excuse. I’ll try to do better next month.

Count calories. I need to stay around 2100.
This is the part that I’m really bad at. I did this 8 out of 31 days, not even half. Most of those days I ate more that 2100 calories. I think I need to work harder at this.

Walk an average of 5000 steps per day.
Personal Trainer Walking says that I averaged 5529 steps per day last month.

In conclusion, I need to make sure I execise 3 times per week and I need to make sure I count calories.

January 31, 2010 Update

2010-JAN-18 – 30 minutes of walking and 60 minutes of workout.

2010-JAN-19 – One hundred pushup challenge Week 1 Day 3. 30 minutes of walking.

2010-JAN-20 – 30 minutes of walking and 60 minutes of workout.

2010-JAN-21 – 30 minutes of walking and 60 minutes of workout.

2010-JAN-25 – 30 minutes of walking and 60 mintes of Fitness Bootcamp. We worked out outside today. This is after working out in the gym at work for the last several weeks. The workout was really tough. I guess I need to get use to working out outside again.

2010-JAN-26 – 30 minutes of walking.

2010-JAN-27 – 30 minutes of walking. Yes today was Fitness Bootcamp day, but I ended up missing it because of work. It’s hard when somebody asks for your help at the end of the day and it ends up taking more than 2 hours. Ah well.
